Low-Zinc™ Alu offers a whole range of benefits compared to both standard zinc and aluminum-based alloys. It has a higher capacity, a better negative potential, and a low zinc content, making Low-Zinc™ Alu a better protector and a more environment-friendly solution.

Higher capacity

A larger capacity per kilogram of anode means a longer lifespan with the same weight or, alternatively, less weight for the same protection level as a standard alloy. Low-Zinc™ Alu has the highest capacity of any type-approved alloys.

A better negative potential

A higher negative potential means better protection in harsh environments. Low-salt or low-temperature environments can be challenging for standard alloys, but Low-Zinc™ Alu’s higher negative potential ensures good performance even in the toughest situations.

Less zinc, less impact

With 85-95% less zinc than standard aluminum alloys, Low-Zinc™ Alu significantly reduces the amount of zinc released into the ocean. Zinc is toxic in high concentrations and has an adverse impact on marine life and ocean ecosystems, especially in its interaction with the food chain.
