A Sustainable Future for Corrosion Protection

This newly developed alloy represents a milestone in anode technology, focusing on both increased efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

BAC Impalloy continues to push the boundaries of sustainable corrosion protection solutions with the launch of its new ISO 9351 alloy, known as Low-Zinc™️ Alu.

Higher Capacity and Lower Negative Potential

The Low-Zinc™️ Alu alloy is designed to provide significantly higher capacity, which translates to a longer lifespan per kilogram of anode. This improvement offers substantial benefits for customers operating in demanding environments where corrosion protection is critical. The lifespan of each anode has been extended, which not only reduces the frequency of replacement but also lowers long-term costs.

The new alloy also has a lower negative potential, ensuring better protection in low-salinity and low-temperature environments. This is particularly advantageous in harsh conditions where traditional anodes may not provide sufficient protection. BAC Impalloy has thus developed a solution that can meet even the most extreme corrosion protection needs.

Environmentally Friendly Focus

One of the most notable advantages of Low-Zinc™️ Alu is the substantial reduction in zinc content. The alloy contains 85-95% less zinc compared to a standard aluminum anode, resulting in a significant reduction in environmental impact in marine environments. This is an important step toward a more sustainable future for the corrosion protection industry.

BAC Impalloy not only prioritizes the environmental impact of the end product but also the sustainability of its production. The new alloy is planned to be produced in electric furnaces powered by green energy. This initiative reduces the company’s carbon footprint and ensures that anode production is carried out with minimal environmental impact.

A Green Future in Corrosion Protection

The company has been a leader for years in developing environmentally friendly anodes, including zinc anodes without cadmium, known for their low environmental impact. These anodes, specifically designed for areas with potential contact with drinking water, exemplify BAC Impalloy’s commitment to creating products that protect both materials and the environment. The new Low-Zinc™️ Alu alloy follows this sustainable path, demonstrating the company’s continued innovation in this field.

With the introduction of the Low-Zinc™️ Alu alloy, BAC Impalloy shows that sustainability and efficiency can go hand in hand. The company is firmly committed to reducing the environmental impact of corrosion protection and delivering products that not only protect against corrosion but also protect the environment.

This is yet another step towards a greener future for both industry and the planet, and BAC Impalloy is ready to lead the way.
